H&FW State Monitoring Team visit Kiphire District

Kiphire, July 31 (MExN): A State Monitoring Team of officials from Directorate of Health & Family Welfare (H&FW) Kohima headed by National Health Mission Director Dr. Kevichusa Medikhru visited Kiphire District on July 25 and 26.  

A press release from District Media Officer (NHM) Chief Medical Office Kiphire stated that, State Monitoring Team officials with Mission Director and state officials under EGSA visited various health units under Kiphire District.  

During his tour to Kiphire, Dr. Kevichusa Medikhru along with state monitoring team visited one CHC, three PHC, two sub-centres and one District Hospital. At the visit to various health units under Kiphire District, Mission Director appreciated the sincere and dedicated health workers who sacrifice their life for the cost of the community living in the area. The Mission Director also asserted the health workers to be sincere and he also remark that non-performing and irregular staffs would be dealt seriously.  

The State Monitoring Team along with District Health Society conducted a district review meeting at CMO conference hall Kiphire. During the district review meeting a powerpoint presentation was presented before the directorate team by DPM (NHM), DTO, SHP Co-ordinator, IDSP, NHP, DAPCU, RBSK, RNTCP and NVBDCP. A presentation highlighted the functionaries and drawbacks and limitation were addressed to the state monitoring team.  

After the presentation, SPO RNTCP Tiasunep facilitated the hardwork of the department. SPO also cited an example of those hardworking and dedicated health workers posted in the rural areas who sacrificed their life. He further told the staffs placed under urban areas are fortunate. So he lamented that every health staffs should be responsible in discharging their duties for the welfare of the people.  

Mission Director also lauded the dedicated health staffs, and assured them to take up the issues and grievances faced by them at the earliest. The district review meeting was concluded with vote of thanks from District Programme Manager.
