Higher Edu Minister interacts with Naga students in Delhi

Dimapur, July 24 (MExN): Temjen Imna Along, Minister for Higher Education and Technical Education interacted with representatives of Delhi Eastern Nagaland Students Union (DENSU) at Nagaland House New Delhi on July 19.

  Minister Along held series of meeting with different student union bodies in Delhi. The minister met Naga Students Union (NSUD), Ao Students Union and Delhi Eastern Nagaland Students Union (DENSU), a DIPR report said.   During the meeting with DENSU representative members, Along exhorted the students and asked them to work hard with sincerity in their studies. He said that the students are the Ambassador of the Nagas in Delhi.  

The Minister also shared his vision for the student community in Delhi and appealed the students to work together for the unity of our Nagas in general, with the vision “One Naga”, the release said.  

Sharing their activities in Delhi and grievances in their areas to the Minister, the DENSU leaders requested the Higher Education Minister to promote the area by establishing Science and Arts College in their region.  

They also appealed the minister to give a chance to Eastern Nagaland Students who are well qualified to be appointed as science college lecturers for encouraging the upcoming educated youth.  

The minister assured the student leaders on the points raised that the matter will be looked after and support in whatever possibilities will be extended in his department.  

H Khehovi Yepthomi, Advisor Tourism and Art & Culture also attended the meeting.
