KOHIMA, December 17 (MExN): The Directorate of Higher Education celebrated Advent Christmas on Saturday, December 16 at its Conference Hall with Professor Tali Alinger, Rtd. Director of School Education as the speaker.
In his Christmas message, Prof. Alinger shared the story of the birth of Jesus whom God sent to redeem each one from the bondage of sin, and to make us His sons and daughters. He also spoke about how God’s plan was fulfilled through the birth of Jesus Christ and how it changed the entire human history.
He further shared his own personal journey in the service of the Lord and emphasized that it is really important to invite Jesus Christ into their lives this Christmas.
Highlights of the event included bible reading and prayer by Medongoi Rhakho, OSD (A&R), welcome address by Kuholi Chishi, Director, Higher Education, carol singing of “Hark the Herald Angels Sing” and “Joy to the world”, and benediction by the speaker. The Advent Christmas Programme was chaired by Dr. Anungla Aier, Additional Director, Higher Education.
