THE STATE government announced to go ahead with the decision to introduce Hindi subject from Class IV beginning this academic year in the Government Primary Schools in the State.
Sources told The Morung Express that several Government Primary Schools have already received textbook of Hindi subject under the package of free textbook distribution. Minister for School Education Imkong L. Imchen told The Morung Express that he had already directed all the District Education Officers and Deputy Inspector of Schools for introduction of Hindi subject from Class IV this year.
Admitting that there was acute shortage of Hindi teachers in the State, the Minister said that he would be pressing the central government to grant more funds for meeting the Hindi teachers.
Thanking the government for making available of Hindi textbooks for the Government Primary School Losa Basa and Bawe, the Village Education Committee (VEC) Chairman Eyekowe Kepfo of Losami village exuded his confident that the government would provide Hindi teachers to the institutions as textbook of the said subject has already reached.
Presently, we do not have Hindi teacher and the parents and the public are wondering as “who will teach this important subject,” Kepfo said. “We need the post of Hindi teacher in our village primary schools, “Kepfo told this correspondent.
