Hindustan Scouts & Guides expands base in NE

Kohima, February 6 (MExN): Hindustan Scouts & Guides has expanded its base in the Northeastern states with number of schools joining the movement. In the past few months, a number of activities were carried out in Nagaland, Assam and Arunachal Pradesh where hundreds of scouts and guides were trained.  

A press release received here stated that Gurupad, Pravishika of Rajyapuraskar testing camp was organized from December 9 to 13, 2017 at Bethany School, Guwahati where a total of 164 scouts and guides participated, which included 48 Gurupads, 53 Praveshika and 63 Rajyapuraskar.  

The HS&G visited Good Shepherd Public School (Senior Secondary & Primary), Little Star School, Green Mount Senior Secondary School, VKV Residential Public School, Royal International School, Dani Polo School, and Vidhya Bhawan in Arunachal Pradesh where Preveshika training course was imparted to 247 scouts and guides.  

On October 27, 2017 Praveshika training was imparted to 160 students at King David School, Khatkhati, Karbi Anglong, which included scouts, guides and bulbuls. Earlier on September 23, 2017, 157 scouts and guides were trained at Central Training Institute campus, Dimapur where students from St Paul School, Carmel School, Holy Cross Hr. Sec. School, Herbert Spencer participated.  

“The Hindustan Scouts & Guides is extremely grateful to the Principals of these schools for their support and cooperation for conducting the camps and allowing their students to participate,” Gnana Nirmala, Secretary for North east region and Nagaland State, Hindustan Scout and Guides stated in the press release.
