Dimapur, July 28 (MExN): NCC cadets attending Annual Training Camp of 24 Nagaland (Independent) Company NCC in Dimapur were specially trained through an awareness campaign on HIV & AIDS and drug abuse today.
Yanger Kier from the District AIDS Prevention and Control Unit (DAPCU), Dimapur conducted awareness pgrogramme under the aegis of Nagaland AIDS Control Society, informed a press release from the Camp Commandant. The cadets were also shown the Integrated Counseling and Testing Mobile unit, and how HIV testing is conducted.
The cadets resolved to make their surrounding aware of the disease and spread the message wherever they are, the release said.
Earlier in the day, the cadets were demonstrated Guard of Honour drill prepared by NCC Permanent Instructor Staff, Hav Sanjay Kumar. It was followed by Inter Coy Guard of Honour Competition. As part of training of trainers, the Associate NCC Officers were also given refresher firing practice and training.
