Kohima, October 3 (MExN): YouthNet in partnership with the Directorate of Tourism, Nagaland, Alder Tours and Dial Nagaland launched first of its kind in Nagaland a Homestay Training programme under the National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC), Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship at the main office of YouthNet at Billy Graham Road on October 3.
The inaugural was graced by the Assistant Director, Directorate of Tourism, Veyielo Doulo, as chief guest and the Deputy Director of Directorate of Tourism, Ajanuo Belho.
Veyielo Doulo, the chief-guest, addressed the participants saying that the field of Tourism is an exciting sector and that the opportunities tourism offer is never-ending. Stressing on homestays, he said that one hardly require much investment and that, the tourists are looking to experience what is local. Mrs. Ajanuo Belho exhorted the participants on the benefits of running homestays and encouraged the participants to take up the training and running homestays not only in the purview of running a business and making profits but as a hobby.
Kejaroko, Alder Tours, highlighted on Tourism and homestay, Nino Zhasa who runs homestay businesses shared her hands-on experience with the participants while Neingu Luho, Dial Nagaland briefed the participants on the homestay training program. The inaugural program was chaired by Anini Nyenga, Project Manager (IMPACT 5000 by 18- YouthNet).
