Homoeopathic Treatment Centre in Dimapur inaugurated

Kohima, September 9 (MExN): Minister for Health & Family Welfare S. Pangnyu Phom has formally inaugurated Homoeopathic Treatment Centre (HTC) at Padumpukhuri village, Dimapur on September 7 last.


This Homoeopathic Treatment Centre was established in the year 2004 under the Civil Surgeon’s establishment Dimapur.
Due to lack of a proper permanent accommodation, the facility was functioning in some temporary arrangements all these years but with the support of the Padumpukhuri Village Council who came forward and donated the plot free of cost to the department, the new set up could be constructed.


The department maintained that the setting up of this Centre added another important milestone in the history of AYUSH in Nagaland “because this centre is the first independent AYUSH Dispensary in Nagaland,”


Stating that Padumpukhuri has roughly over 6000 population with nine major tribes and around 10 neighbouring villages working upto about 30,000 population, the department stated that this Centre will cater to a lot of health care services to the community at large.


Two well qualified and experienced Homoeopathic doctor are posted there with supporting staffs like nurse, attendant, assistant etc, the department stated.


Earlier, the inaugural function was chaired by Dr. T. Bendangtula, assistant director (AYUSH), Directorate of Health & Family Welfare, Nagaland.


The inaugural function was followed by health camp.
