Horti Advisor pulls up erring public servants

Wokha, November 24 (MExN): In an attempt to take governance at the door step of the people, Mhathung Yanthan, MLA 39 Sanis AC & Advisor, Horticulture and Border Affairs Department undertook a whirlwind tour and held a durbar with villagers of Yonchujo, Sunglup, Lakhuti, Asha, Pangti, Sungro, Okotso, Aree New & Aree old on November 22 and 23.

Accompanied by about 20 district and state level officers representing various departments, the Advisor had detailed review of all sectors of government programmes, schemes and functioning of the village institutions. Many issues were resolved at ground zero and the unresolved issues were taken note for redressal at higher level, a press release informed.

The Advisor pulled up erring government functionaries and asked the visiting HoDs to initiate appropriate action against the employees who are irresponsible and negligent of their duties. Stressing upon the matter, the Advisor addressed all the stakeholders that “everyone has a specific role to play and perform one's responsibility in the right earnest. It is because of the lack of commitment and sincerity that delivery mechanism in many of the communitized sectors is in jeopardy and the general public are made to suffer.”
