House including shop burned to ashes

House and shop in old Monger Village which was completely burned in a fire on November 26. The cause of the fire was attributed to short circuit.

In an unfortunate incident, one house including shop belonging to Thritsase Sangtam of Old Monger Village was completely burned down to ashes, while another house belonging to Chotsase Sangtam was partially burned. 

On spot verification, the authority said the cause of the fire was because of short circuit. According to villagers, fire started around 11:00 pm and they could only douse off the fire around 1:00 am. Fortunately, the occupants were all out in the field avoiding any human casualties. 

In the incident, goods such as utensils, clothes, traditional attires and livestock were completely burned. According to report, the lost incurred during the fire incident amounts to around 6 to 7 lakh.
