ICFAI observes ‘Swachtta Pakhwara’

Dimapur, August 16 (MExN): Institute of Charted Financial Analysts of India (ICFAI) University Nagaland NSS Unit in observance of nationwide campaign ‘Swachhta Pakhwara’ conducted a fortnight cleanliness drive on the evening of August 15.
All together 55 NSS volunteers participated in the fortnight cleanliness drive conducted at the adjoining areas of University campus and Sovima village. A press release issued by Programme Officer, IUN NSS Unit stated that the campaign was conducted under the supervision of Dr Imtinungsang Jamir, Programme Officer of IUN Unit as per the directive of Directorate of Youth Resources and Sports, Government of Nagaland.
It stated that the purpose of observing ‘Swachhta Pakhwara’ also known as ‘Clean India’ is to promote cleanliness. The campaign was conducted to resilient the motive of clean and green environment in each and every part of society. It was organized in the adopted village of Sovima by conducting activities such as cleanliness drive, tree plantation to make the local masses understand about the dignity of labour and to spread awareness around better sanitation practices such as toilet, hand washing, health and hygiene awareness, keeping streets, drains and back alleys clean etc.
