Dimapur, August 14 (MExN): In observance of the nationwide ‘Swachhta Pakhwara’ (fortnight cleanliness) campaign, ICFAI University Nagaland conducted cleanliness drive under the initiative of the Vice Chancellor, Prof. Charles P. Alexander on the eve of Independence Day as per the directives of Department of Youth Resources, Government of Nagaland.
A press release stated here that the campaign was observed under the supervision of Dr. Imtinungsang Jamir, Programme Officer, NSS IUN Unit by emphasizing on the importance of the campaign to the public and urged them to keep the surroundings clean.
All together 53 participants including student volunteers and NSS members took part in the fortnight campaign. The cleanliness drive was conducted at the adjoining areas of the University Campus and neighborhood of Sovima Village.
