Dimapur, November 13 (MExN): Indian Dental Association Nagaland State Branch (IDANSB) in association with Phoenix Medical Institute, Delhi organized a Continuing Dental Education (CDE) programme on Basic Life Saving (BLS) Procedures on November 9 at Hotel Europa Inn, Dimapur.
Various Life Saving Procedures like Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and use of Automated External Defibrillator (AED) were explained during the course, stated a press release from Dr Arihant Jain, CDE Convenor, IDA Nagaland State Branch.
Dr Gurjap Singh, MDS (Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeon), Delhi was the Course Coordinator for the programme. Dr H Hotokhu Chishi, President of the Nagaland State Dental Council was the NSDC Observer for the programme.
Several doctors from various districts of Nagaland attended to enhance their knowledge required to perform the delicate procedures.
A wide range of demonstrations were held using the Adult & Infant Mannequins which were thereafter done individually by all the participants. Dr Aochell Longchar added that this programme will now enhance the skills of the dental doctors of Nagaland required to perform during emergency procedures.
