Ranked no. 1 in customer satisfaction in the North East for the past six quarters consecutively among all operators in the region, Idea Cellular on Monday launched its 4G services in Dimapur, the first in northeast.
The 4G launching in Dimapur would soon be followed by other major towns of Kohima, Imphal, Tura and Senapati in March. Mokokchung would also be covered by May this year.
With the launch of 4G in NE, Idea has expanded its services to nine telecom service areas. Idea 4G LTE services currently covers over 300 towns in the country and by June, 750 towns across 10 telecom circles would be covered.
During the programme, P. Lakshminarayana, COO – Corporate, Idea Cellular; Anish Roy, COO –East Service Area and Rajat Mukarji, Chief Corporate Officer highlighted on the services of Idea Cellular.
Lakshminarayana said, “Since the last week of December 2015, Idea has rapidly rolled out its high-speed 4G LTE network to cover 9 major markets in India.”
According to a handout, Sashi Shankar, Chief Marketing Officer, Idea Cellular stated, “Idea customers with 4G devices can now start experiencing superfast speeds by simply upgrading their existing SIM cards to new 4G SIM cards.”
Idea has announced complimentary 4G SIM card upgrade with attractive 4G data tariffs starting as low as Rs 46. Idea has also announced ‘ultimate plans’ which provides ‘Bundle of 4G data, unlimited voice calls and content subscription.’
With over 170 million subscribers, Idea is India’s 3rd largest national mobile operator.
