MOKOKCHUNG, September 26 (DIPR): The 12th Master Imchaba Memorial Nagaland Open Volleyball Trophy, 2017 got underway at Multi-purpose Sports Complex, Mokokchung on September 26 with the inaugural match played between Lakhuni Sporting Club ‘B’ and Paola Club Tzutikong.
17 teams are participating in this edition of the tournament organized by the Mokokchung District Volleyball Association (MDVA). The inaugural function was graced by Sr. Treasury Officer, Mokokchung, Toshizenba as the chief guest.
In his address, the chief guest congratulated MDVA for the smooth and successful conduct of the trophy in recognition of our great leader Late Imchaba and also for promoting our young Volleyball players despite untold hurdles. He also shared words of apperceptions to the family members of Late Imchaba for their relentless support in organizing the Tournament. While sharing words of encouragement to the players, he said some of the keys to success or winning depends on being a disciplined player, hard work, never to lose heart or temper because victory and defeat are the two side of a coin. He also added that another key to success is to maintain team spirit.
