IMFL worth over Rs. 40 lacs recovered

Kohima, December 30 (MExN): The Assam Rifles have claimed the recovery of liquor worth over Rs. 40 lakhs in two separate operations in Kohima on December 29.  

In the first operation, the 3 AR conducted an operation in High School Junction area in Kohima along with police representatives on December 29 and recovered a total of 1,115 cases of Indian Made Foreign Liquor (IMFL) worth Rs. 28,22,860 from a storehouse, a defence press release informed.   The 3 AR also conducted an operation in Dak Lane area on the same day and recovered a total of 379 cases of IMFL worth Rs. 12.60 lakhs (approx) from a storehouse, a separate release informed.   The recovered items from both operations were handed over to North Police Station, Kohima.
