Kohima, November 10 (MExN): Indian Army under Operation Sadbhavana flagged off a National Integration Tour for 18 students and two staff members of Kumbi College, Manipur to Delhi and Agra on November 8. The tour aims to provide an insight on ethnic, cultural and religious diversity of India. They will visit premier institutions and witness the strides made by India in the fields of economy, infrastructure and entertainment. Organized under the theme of ‘Today’s Children, Tomorrow's Future of the North East,’ the Tour is yet another endeavor of Indian Army to harness the potential of children from families which are below poverty line and from remote locations, stated a press release from Lt Col Sumit Sharma, PRO (Defence). The tour has been well received by the locals, who have shown keen interest by their participation and expressed their gratitude towards the Indian Army for their continuous efforts in providing platforms for their children to excel, it added.
