INFC informs on ‘NAMASTE Scholarship Program’

Dimapur, August 11 (MExN): The NITTE (Deemed to be University), Mangaluru Karnataka is offering 25 seats in various courses for the students of Nagaland under “NAMASTE Scholarship Program.”

Namaste Scholarship Program is scheme introduced by the institute with the aim to provide encouragement and support to economically poor but meritorious students, a press release from Indian National Fellowship Center (INFC), Nagaland informed. 

The courses on offer include D Pharm, B Pharm, Nursing, Journalism and Mass Communication, B.Sc  and M.Sc etc. 

The institute has agreed to offer the seats at the initiative of former Governor of Nagaland PB Acharya, the founder trustee of INFC and its Nagaland representative, the release said. 

A committee has been  set up to select the students based on merit in the Qualifying examination, taking  into consideration the annual  income, the candidate should have studied in Class-12 degree program in any of the Northeast state, it informed. 

Students would be exempted from tuition fee; they have to pay the hostel fee at the time of reporting in the university, stated the release issued by INFC Nagaland Representative Coordinator, Dr NM Kithan and Dr Lozhoho Khanyo.

Interested students may submit application stating the seats they are opting for along with a copy of their marksheet, Indigenous inhabitant of Nagaland certificate and contact number, it said.

The last date for online submission is August 16, the release added.
