‘Inspiration’ initiative to motivate students launched

Mokokchung, April 18 (DIPR): Deputy Commissioner Mokokchung, Sushil Kumar Patel, IAS has taken one more step to encourage, motivate students who are aspiring to become civil servants under the initiative “Inspiration”.  

Under this initiative, students who are doing their graduation or have completed already and preparing to appear for UPSC/NPSC examinations may approach the DC, Officer or any administrative officers in the outpost with a written profile countersigned by concerned head of Institution and parents. Patel said after the scrutiny of the applications selected persons will be called for an attachment with Deputy Commssioner/Addl Deputy Commissioner for one full day mostly on the day of DPDB meeting with prior approval of the Chairman of the DPDB. He said tips regarding preparation for UPSC/NPSC will be provided and all the expenses for the day (Logistic/lunch/refreshment) for those persons will be borne by the Deputy Commissioner Office, Mokokchung.

  The objective of the ‘Inspiration’ is to give firsthand experience to the aspirants about the role of district administration and how one can contribute to the society once they get selected for service.  

Patel said the initiative shall be commencing immediately, thereby request made by individual shall be compiled by DC office. The first aspirants shall be selected on 7th May 2016.  

Ever since he assumed office of the Deputy Commissioner, Mokokchung, Sushil Kumar Patel frequently conducting seminars in schools and colleges aiming at guiding and motivating aspiring students to face competitive examinations with confidence.
