Tuensang, July 18 (MExN): Agricultural Technology Management Agency (ATMA) Tuensang, Noklak block inaugurated ‘Integrated Farm School’ at Noklak headquarters on July 16.
The inauguration was done by Dr. Arenmongla, Block Technology Manager (BTM), Chare block. She highlighted the concept of farm school and pointed out that the setting up of farm school will provide opportunity for dissemination of farmer to farmer technology and implementation of new and innovative technology where farmers can learn on better practices of farming, stated a press release from the office of Project Director, ATMA Tuensang.
Tsumon was appointed as the farm school teacher.
The inaugural event was followed by demonstration on value addition of banana, pineapple juice and pineapple jam, nursery bed preparation, vermi-composting and training on tea cultivation. The resource persons were Dr. Arenmongla, BTM Chare block; Jhongkoi Lam, BTM Noklak block; and Donya, Farmer’s Friend. Altogether, 25 farmers attended the programme.
