The winners and officials at the Zunheboto inter departmental tournament which concluded on September 9.
ZUNHEBOTO, SEPTEMBER 10 (MExN): The Zunheboto District 10th inter departmental tournament concluded on September 9 at DSCZ Indoor Stadium.
In the men's single badminton, Kupe Kapfo, Superintendent of Police Zunheboto from DEF defeated H Hinoka Sema from DEO (Education) in straight sets to win the title. In the mens double, Kainoto and Kihika from PWD (R&B) H Hinoka and Inato from DEO (Education). In the women's single Likabo from Soil and Water Conservation Department defeated Razoukienuo from 8 NAP Nalto in straights set to win the women's single title and in men's double carom, DEF Zunheboto won by defeating PHED to win the title.
Tournament Convener and Vice Chairman, District Sports Council Zunheboto (DSCZ), Hekato Sema in the prize distribution ceremony thanked G Ikuto Zhimomi, Advisor, Land Resources who graced the opening ceremony and donated generously to the district sports council. He further thanked the Deputy Commissioner, Rahul Bhanudas Mali, IAS, Chairman, DSCZ, Sumi hoho, Sumi Totimi Hoho, Kukami Kukhakulu and participants from different departments. Hekato further thanked the match referee, lines man and spectators who helped in making the tournament a success.
