DIMAPUR, JULY 13 (MExN): In the 5th day of the ongoing Inter District Cricket Tournament, Dimapur defeated Kohima by 155 runs and Peren defeated Wokha by 72 runs to win their respective matches.
In the match against Kohima, Dimapur created a record partnership of 177 runs for fourth wicket between Nitesh (97 of 59 balls) and Tahmeed (68 of 48 balls). Dimapur won the toss and elected to bat first scoring 233 for 5 in 25 overs. Kohima were bowled out for 78 runs in 20.2 overs.
The second match was cut short to 12 overs a side due time bad weather. Peren won the toss and elected to bat first. They scored 143 runs losing 4 wickets in 12 overs. In response Wokha could score only 73 runs before being bowled out in 11.2 overs.
Tomorrow’s matches include Kohima vs Wokha at 8:00am and Dimapur vs Peren at 12:30pm.
