A women’s basketball match at the inter institution sports tournament held at ICFAI University.
DIMAPUR, OCTOBER 22 (MExN): ICFAI University Nagaland hosted its 1st Inter Institution Sports Tournament at its campus from October 20 to 21. During the two days program, students from various institutions participated in Futsal, Volleyball and Basketball in both male as well as female categories.
Prof Saundarjya Borbora, Vice Chancellor of the university, in the inaugural program stated that education is holistic and that sports is an important part in a student’s life urging them to make use of the opportunities to learn and grow.
Rupanka Bhuyan, Registrar of the university, gave away the trophies, medals, cash prizes and certificates during the closing program.
Immanuel College won the men’s basketball defeating St. Joseph University while in the women’s basketball final, St. Joseph University emerged champions defeating ICFAI University Nagaland to win the basketball tournament.
In the men’s volleyball, Immanuel College emerged champions defeating St. Joseph University while in the women’s volleyball, St Joseph University defeated ICFAI University Nagaland.
In the Futsal tournament, ICFAI University Nagaland emerged champions defeating Immanuel College.
