Mokokchung, January 3 (MExN): With the aim to share the blessings of New Year and to bring joy to the patients admitted at the Imkongliba Memorial District Hospital (IMDH) and Mokokchung TB Hospital, the IOC & Kumlong Taxi Unit (I&KTU) visited the hospital and distributed cash and offered prayer support to the patients on January 1.
The IOC & Kumlong Taxi Unit, which has thirty-nine taxis, decided to visit the hospital as part of its social responsibility activity in tune with its motto: Serve to public. Altogether, the Unit visited nearly forty patients admitted at the IMDH and the Mokokchung TB Hospital. The Unit was accompanied by All Nagaland Taxi Association, Mokokchung (ANTAM) president, Tali Jamir and other officials.
The patients admitted in the hospital and their attendants, who had to spend the festive season in the hospital, were deeply touched by the gesture of IOC & Kumlong Taxi Unit, who not only distributed cash but also prayed for their speedy recovery. The IMDH authorities, led by the Medical Superintendent Dr Medem also expressed deep appreciation to the visiting Taxi Unit and sharing their time, resources and prayer with the patients admitted in the hospital.
Meanwhile, the IOC & Kumlong Taxi Unit has expressed deep appreciation to the MS of IMDH for giving the opportunity to visit the hospital and share their love and New Year prayers with the patients. The Unit also conveyed appreciation to the ANTAM officials led by president Tali Jamir and his colleagues for accompanying the Unit during the visit.
Atong Jamir, In-charge, IOC & Kumlong Taxi Unit, Mokokchung in a press release also expressed appreciation to all the IOC & Kumlong Taxi Unit members for their understanding and agreeing to visit the patients keeping in mind that ‘service to humanity is service to God’.
