‘IRB behavior cannot be tolerated’

Dimapur, Sept 30 (MExN): The Naga Students’ Federation has demanded that the concern authority look into the firing incident of September 28 where a class-X student was shot by an IRB jawan. Stating that time and again, IRB jawans have perpetrated such barbaric crimes on innocent students as well as on the people which, the NSF stated, is condemnable and cannot be tolerated by one and all. The NSF lamented that such incidents have continued to reoccur courtesy the jawans who are actually supposed to provide security to the people but have taken the law in their own hands to the extend of taking the lives of innocents. “The Federation strongly feels that such act of high handedness by a few unscrupulous jawans cannot be (acceptable) in any manner for which the concern authority have to look into the matter seriously and restore justice at the earliest” stated an NSF note of condemnation issued through its Vice President Imchatoba Imchen.
