IRCS Kiphire observes World Red Cross day

The Indian Red Cross Society Kiphire on Sunday last observed International Red Cross Day at the conference hall of the Deputy Commissioner Kiphire with Lankonsen Tsanglao SDO (C) addressing the gathering.  

Speaking at the gathering, Lankonsen Tsanglao SDO (C) stressed on the seven fundamental principles of the Red Cross and called upon the gathering not to wait for disaster to happen but to start working for humanity. He added that in places like Kiphire, the people have to take advantage of the most noble and respected organization on the planet and also reach out to others irrespective of cast, race and boundary.  

While appreciating the Secretary IRCS Kiphire branch and the Red Cross members Lankonsen Tsanglao also said, “we have done many things voluntarily in respective capacities; however, many things could also have done” and asked the members to give suggestions and opinions for the growth of the organization.  

Tsointhe, Secretary, highlighted the activities of the branch to the gathering and requested the gathering to extend all possible help for the proposed health camp.  

The meeting also agreed to hold medical camp at Ngoromi and decided to organize sensitization programme on Junior Red Cross in schools.
