• Yes, date rape is increasing rapidly in Nagaland particularly among the youths. The society by large is unaware of this, but it is beyond doubt that date rape has been occurring for a long time and unless parents and society recognise the presence of such behavioural attitudes, the morals of our society will be destroyed. In fact a number of innocent young girls going on their first party have been drugged and raped and are now languishing with HIV. This is a dangerous trend.
• Yes, Date Rape is on the rise. The negative influence of westernization and violent movies have to be checked, cause patience is not our strength! Especially among teenagers and old-teenagers (who never mature in thought)! 18 years or below, any forceful sex is a rape. Nine years back when I joined college someone told me he forcibly had sex with a gal, I thought that was cool. Today, as a law student, I realize that was RAPE. It is sad that there are many like that. A gal on a date doesn’t mean she is looking for sex. It’s natural to like guys.
• Yes, because of many reasons but two things are alcohol and unproper way of dressing, esp. the ladies, girls we should not give the chances to look down.
• Yes, date-rape is increasing shamefully no matter what or how the actions are taken. This shows lack of respect for women. Nagas are no more maintaining decency.
• Date-rape is increasing in Nagaland because of our loose moral society.
• It’s transparent, everyone will admit it... even you dear fellow, who is reading this line right now.... is the govt. blind? Why aren’t they taking any measures to minimize such activities?
