Jaduanang inspired NNC to take right decision: Muivah

Dimapur, July 13 (MExN): While recognizing the contribution of the Zeliangrong people in the political struggle of the Nagas is history, the NSCN which is ‘leading the Naga political movement today’ acknowledged the role of the Zeliangrong people in asserting the rights of the Nagas.

Referring to Pou Juduanang, the person who set on fire the spirit of nationalism among the Zeliangrong and inspired the whole Nagas to do so, the MIP/GPRN in a press note said that the person Jaduanang was for the Nagas was brought to life by Lt. Gen (Retd) VS Atem, Convenor Steering Committee, NSCN on the occasion of Ato Kilonser Th. Muivah meeting the Zeliangrong people at Peren as part of his reconciliation mission across Nagalim. He reminded the Zeliangrong people that Pou Jaduanang was declared a national martyr in the year 2006 by the collective leadership.

Therefore, it is never wrong when K. Akhang, President Zeliangrong Baudi (N) said that the contribution and sacrifice of the Zeliangrong people towards Naga national cause is no less. But he makes his point clear that till recently this historical fact was not given the importance it deserved, the note stated. According to the MIP/GPRN press note Ato Kilonser Muivah gave deserving credit to Pou Jaduanang when he said that NNC must have been inspired by Jaduanang to take the right decision and not subjecting themselves to the rule of India. He also said that Jaduanang knew that the British is not the master of the Nagas.

Kilo Kilonser Raising while giving a brief speech said that if politics fail everything fails and if politics falls everything falls. He appealed to the Zeliangrong people to take the right decision and take control of the situation, and not allow the situation to control them.

‘Time for Angamis to reawaken’

Dimapur, July 13 (MExN): The Deputy Kilonser and In-charge of Angami, Chakhesang and Pochury Regions, Neitsolo Venuh stated in a note that ‘it is time for the Angamis to reawaken themselves with new political consciousness and doing the will of God to forgive and to forget the past however bitter it may be.’

The Deputy Kilonser stated as we recollect the undeniable historical facts of the Naga political struggle the contribution of the Angamis is immensely great when NNC under the leadership of Phizo took the right decision at the right time to give the Nagas an independent identity and not to subject themselves to India as other states have done. Thus, the history and God given rights of the Nagas were fully established. God blessed the Angamis with political wisdom to save the Nagas from getting lost without its identity. “We have to broadminded enough considering the greater task that lies before the Nagas. The Angamis cannot afford to shirk their responsibility when the call of the nation is reaching out to all Nagas,” he added.

The Deputy Kilonser acknowledged the people in Kohima for the cooperation extended in welcoming Ato Kilonser Th. Muivah and other NSCN members accompanying him and added such hospitality shown at such crucial juncture of Naga reconciliation mission shall be valued for all time to come.
