JAF agitation to begin today

DIMAPUR, DECEMBER 1 (MExN): The Joint Associations Forum (JAF) of four service associations today informed that all constituent associations have reaffirmed their participation in the ongoing agitation against the State Government scheduled to begin from December 2.

A press release from the JAF said that this was part of the resolution during a meeting of the coordinating body of JAF and the action committees of all associations on November 30.

It was also resolved that respective action committees would pay a surprise visit to offices having members of JAF and reprimand or take action as deemed fit on any erring members “and he/she should be blamed for any failure in the fight for the common cause.”

A monitoring cell will also be located at CANSSEA building. Meeting of the action committee members would be called for review of activities from time to time.

The JAF once again appealed to all HODs/DDOs/Controlling Officers to bear the inconveniences that will be caused due to the agitation of members in their respective offices and requested them to show solidarity. It asked the public to kindly understand the situation and bear with any inconveniences that may come their way because of the agitation of its members.

“To any individual/group within or outside trying to derail the ongoing agitation, consequences whatsoever shall be borne entirely by him/them,” the JAF cautioned.

It meanwhile expressed regret at the “cold attitude of the Government in solving the issue at hand, since it was never in the interest of the four service associations to undertake such agitation.”

The JAF consists of the Nagaland Directorate Ministerial Service Association (NDMSA), All Nagaland District Ministerial Service Association (ANDMSA), Trained Nurses Association of India-Nagaland Branch (TNAI), and Prison Service Association Nagaland

The scheduled protest pertains to demand for implementation of recommendations of the Revision of Pay (ROP) PAC.
