
DIMAPUR, NOVEMBER 28 (MExN): The Joint Associations Forum (JAF) consisting of Nagaland Directorate Ministerial Service Association, All Nagaland District Ministerial Service Association, Trained Nurses Association of India, Nagaland Branch and Prison Service Association Nagaland has announced that it will launch its second phase of agitation with effect from December 2, 2019 onwards.
According to a press statement issued by JAF on Thursday, the second phase agitation will be in the form of 3 days mass casual leave by all members followed by third phase agitation in the form of indefinite pen down, tools down and computers shut from December 5 onwards.
It stated that the intense phase of agitation shall be partially relaxed for the essential services like prison and nurses who deal with human lives. However, those affected shall continue to show their resentment by wearing black badges on duties, it went on the state while adding that relaxation may be called off anytime if situation so demands in due course of time.
In this connection, the JAF has directed all its constituent associations to further direct all respective action committees to strictly monitor member’s activities and to report, take action as deem fit on any erring members.
It may be mentioned that the JAF is demanding impartial implementation of the recommended higher pay scale for specific employees as submitted by the ROP Pay Anomalies Committee (PAC).
However, with the government yet to come up with any solution over the issue at hand, the JAF had launched the proposed phase wise democratic agitation on November 20 by wearing black badges in the respective work place as first phase agitation to show its displeasure to the government.
