Jalukie Battalion of Assam Rifles

Jalukie Battalion of Assam Rifles under the aegis of HQ IGAR (N) conducted a 1.5 km run under the theme ‘Run for Fit India’ in collaboration with ARC Athibung and Childline at Old Chalkot village, Peren on November 26. A lecture was also conducted by Atheng Newme of Childline Peren team to give an insight about importance of ‘Fitness and Hygiene’ and its benefits for an individual as well as the society. In the same event, Constitution day was also observed wherein all participants took oath to remain law abiding citizens of India. 127 residents including Veterans and Youth participated in the event.
