Dimapur, September 24 (MExN): In continuance of the ‘Hindi Day’ observed on September 14, ARTC&S celebrated Hindi Pakhwara (Fortnight) from September 8 to 22. In order to promote Hindi among the Jawans, Hindi typing, noting-drafting, essay writing, poem recitation and speech competition were organised at Sukhovi Garrison.
A press release received here stated that prize distribution ceremony was held on September 22 under the chairmanship of Colonel Deepak Gaur, Officiating Deputy Commandant of ARTC & School where No. 2 Training Battalion was adjudged the best team; No. 3 Training Battalion secured second position and No. 1 Training Battalion secured third.
Speaking on the occasion, Colonel Deepak Gaur, Officiating Deputy Commandant of ARTC&S stressed on the use of Hindi in official correspondence in accordance with the policy issued by the Government of India. He also highlighted the importance of the official language and appealed all the employees to work in Hindi and contribute in better spread of the official language across the country.
