Dimapur, January 11 (MExN): The Janata Dal (United) has affirmed the leadership of NSN Lotha who was recently appointed Convenor of JDU Nagaland.
A press release affirming the leadership informed that a delegation of the JDU State unit met with central leaders in Delhi and “ascertained the party position in the state”.
The appointment of NSN Lotha as Convenor was also confirmed during the meeting with the Central leaders, the release stated while revealing that this was done in view of the restructuring in the entire JDU set up after the split within the party at the national level.
“The state JDU present office bearers are fully intact under the convenership of NSN Lotha to lead the party thereof,” the Nagaland State JDU stated.
The release further informed that the party’s national President, Nitish Kumar assured to appoint leaders from the North East at the national level. In this connection, former President of the State JDU, Rekhum, is to be inducted in the JDU national level representing Nagaland, the release added.
