Jesmina Zeliang from Nagaland nominated as IHGF President

New Delhi, September 27 (MExN): Jesmina Zeliang, proprietor of M/s Heirloom Naga and a member of Committee of Administration of Export Promotion Council for Handicrafts (EPCH) is the first from Northeast to be nominated as President (Reception Committee) for the 46th edition of the Indian Handicraft and Gift Fair (IHGF)-Delhi Autumn Fair 2018.  

The event is set to be held from October 14 to 18 at India Expo Centre & Mart, Greater Noida, NCR Delhi, Rakesh Kumar, Executive Director (EPCH) stated in a press release.  

Jesmina Zeliang, who owns the company, M/s Heirloom Naga in Nagaland exports cane, bamboo and artisanal handcrafted textiles from the North East since 1993. The company has participated in various International fairs/exhibitions and also bringing artisans and craft persons to display their exquisite cane and bamboo products during both editions of IHGF-Delhi Fair, the release also stated.  

She is actively engaged in empowering women from marginal communities and tribes in North East of India. 3000+ Indian exhibitors including 900 permanent marts, drawn from all over India will be exhibiting home, lifestyles, fashion and textile products spread over in 15 halls with over 2000 designs and styles.  

Export Promotion Council for Handicrafts (EPCH) is a nodal agency for promotion of exports of handicrafts from the country to various countries and has been organizing the IHGF-Delhi Fair for the last 24 years. IHGF-Delhi Fair Autumn is expected to generate large amount of enquiries and orders, it said.
