JMC students visit Christo Hostel at Chami Village

The 6th semester Political Science honors students of Jubilee Memorial College visited Christo hostel at Chami Village, Mokokchung on November 21.

Christo hostel located at Chami village is run by Alemchuba Aier and his wife, who is the pastor of Chami Baptist Church. The hostel has 13 residents, 8 boys and 5 girls aged between 5-11 years. 

The children of Christo hostel are mostly orphans and children from under privileged families. The hostel was opened in 2018. 

During the visit, the students of JMC distributed food items and donated toys for the kids. A short fellowship was conducted where Moarenla, counsellor, JMC shared on the topic of Good Samaritan and the proprietor, Alemchuba Aier also acknowledged the good deeds of the students. 

The children of Christo hostel and students of JMC also presented songs and shared scriptures from the Bible.  The political science honors students of JMC visited the hostel under the theme "Experiences Beyond Academics."
