Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya (JNV) Wokha participated in the NVS Regional Boxing Meet 2026 held in Barpeta, Assam, from April 26 to 28. The team won 9 gold, 3 silver, and 3 bronze medals. Gold medallists, Emmanuel Ezung, Rhonjanthung Jami, Benathung M Tsopoe, Zaremo Odyuo, Limhathung Yanthan, Erenthung Tungoe, Sujamo M Tsanglao, and Rhanben Lotha, earned selection for the NVS National Championship in Gujarat. Silver medals went to Jomio Murry, Mercy Tungoe, and Lochumbeni Humtso. Bronze medals were won by Chumremo Ngullie, Libemo Kikon, and Nchumbemo Kikon. Limhathung Yanthan was named Best Boxer. In total, eight players from JNV Wokha qualified for the nationals. The team was coached by Bikash Jyoti Bora and managed by Paramita Das.
