Longtiba, NCS, SDO (C) Hq launched the job fair cum counselling of DDU-GKY candidate which was organised by the Nagaland State Rural Livelihood Mission (NSRLM) and YouthNet at Hopongkyu Memorial hall, Kiphire on July 30. Hundreds of youth from different villages under Kiphire district are availing the job mela.
Speaking at the inaugural programme, Longtiba, NCS SDO (C) made it clear that job cannot be differentiated as government and private. “If one is employed and earns for his/her livelihood it is a job,” he said while asking the participants not to be lazy but be industrious and to work in any given opportunity.
He also said that places like Kiphire has no industry or establishment where youths can be employed in hundreds and therefore, encouraged the youths to move out and avail opportunity which will be beneficial for an individual as well as for the society.
Sharing his observations, the SDO said that government will never be able to employee all the section of youths present and the youth across the state. He therefore, asked the youths to be sincere and dedicated for brining progress in the society.
Encouraging the youths present, Reny Wilfred SDO IAS, (C) said that this day should be the historic day for Kiphire and appealed to the district partners to at least employ few youths from each village in the district so that the youths in the district move forward.
He also appealed the YouthNet and the partners to organise such programmes from time to time and assured of the full support and co-operation of the District Administration.
Longthonger, SHG and Kiphire village SHG presented folk song. In the second session, Tsepila Zhimomi Operations Supervisor, YouthNet facilitated the orientation programme on scope of private sector Jobs in Nagaland. Various stalls were set up and youths were given opportunity with various facilitators in each stall.
