Kohima, September 10 (MExN): In its efforts for a cleaner habitation and healthy lifestyle, Jakhama Town Youth Society (JTYS) conducted a mass cleanliness drive on September 9 with varied themes. To make it sustainable, JTYS in a press release has notified the following regulations for public: Travellers/Passers-by are prohibited to litter/dump waste along the highway. Violators will be dealt with as per law; Residents are to throw waste only at designated places and burn respective generated wastes. Defaulters will be fined a sum of Rs 500/-; Segregation of wastes such as plastics/ bottles/ tin cans/ glasses/ papers and other biodegradable waste is to be complied with strictly. Dustbins and spittoons provided are to be prudently utilised. Anyone defacing the sign-boards and dustbins will be penalised.
