DIMAPUR, SEPTember 8 (MExN): The Jalukie Valley Youth Organization (JVYO) has out rightly condemned the arson committed by armed cadres of the NSCN (IM) on August 28th last at Jalukie Zangdi Village under Peren District. “Such barbaric act was not expected from the NSCN (IM) when the Naga People have full faith, trust and confidence in the collective leadership to bringing a lasting solution to the Indo-Naga vex Political Problem”, stated a press note issued by Ahiabe Chuilo, General Secretary, Namrai Mpom, President, Rampauna Thou, Vice-President and Nampeuteilung, Assistant General Secretary.
The organization termed the arson as ‘Selfish Motives’ of some of its leaders in the NSCN (IM) set-up to grab land on the pretext of Nationalism. “Dispute, if any can be and should be settle by the two parties concerned in an amicable way”, it stated and pointed out that if such incident recur in future taking the good name of the GPRN the much confidence upon the GPRN Government would lose ground in the long run.
The Organization also hit out at the State Government for not settling the dispute between the two parties despite repeated reminders from various Zeliangrong bodies and also demanded that compensation be given to the affected villagers at the earliest.
