The 7- A- Side football league under the aegis of Kohima Ao Baptist Arogo (KABA) 180 Sports Ministry got underway on Monday at Willow Turf, New Reserve, Kohima.
Teams from nine colonies under KABA have registered for this tournament.
KABA pastor TemjenSempo exhorted the players at the opening ceremony on April 6.
The inaugural programme was led by Imsuyanger while KABA 180 Sports Ministry convenor OyimbongImchen delivered welcome address.
Burakum briefed rules and regulations of the tournament while Achet administered oath to the participating teams.
This tournament aimed at fostering fellowship, discipline and outreach through sports.
The League will be played every Monday (Willow Turf, New Reserve) and every Thursday ( High School, Pro Turf) from 5: 00 – 8:00 PM.
The league will continue till October 2026.
