Kachari Tribal Council Nagaland president no more; funeral today

Dimapur, March 18 (MExN): Kachari Tribal Council Nagaland (KTCN) President, Ramesh Hasnu has passed away on March 18. His funeral service (last rites) will be held at his native village in Amaluma at 10:00 am on March 19 (Sunday).

Announcing the demise, KTCN in a press release said “Ramesh Hasnu breathed his last as he was being brought back to Dimapur this evening i.e. (18/03/2023) from Guwahati around 6:30 pm.”

“In his sudden demise our Kachari community has lost a bold leader who was always ever ready to give his time and service for the community and the void created by his demise will be very hard to replace,” Media Cell, KTCN stated in the release. 

KTCN has offered condolences to the bereaved family members and prays that God Almighty will give them strength and solace during this time of sorrow. 

The Nagaland Garo Tribal Council (NGTC) has expresses deep shock and sadness at the demise of Ramesh Hasnu, President, KTCN. 

“He was a very tall and visionary leader with a lot of experiences, who always believe in standing together, and going together for the betterment of minority Tribes and society as a whole. On his death, the Kachari Tribe has lost a great enthusiastic leader in particular and the minority tribes in general,” NGTC stated in a press note. 

“We extend our heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family members during this time of grief and sorrow and pray that the Lord Almighty will give them heavenly strength to bear this irreparable loss,” NGTC added. 

The Dimapur District Citizens’ Forum (DDCF) also expressed shock on the untimely demise of Ramesh Hasnu, President, KTCN. 

“He was a man of principle and a very loving person. In his demise we have lost a wonderful soul. It will be very difficult to fill the vacuum created by his demise. His contribution to the society must have been an immense help to many,” DDCF said. 

The forum also offered condolence to the bereaved family and pray that God Almighty will give them strength and solace during this time of grief and sorrow. “May the departed soul Rest in Peace,” it added.
