Kargil Hero Capt Neikezhakuo remembered

Kohima, July 26(MExN): IGAR (N) celebrated Vijay Diwas day by paying tribute to Capt Neikezhakuo Kenguruse, MVC (Posthumous).
The AR in a press note satetd that the 13 Assam Rifles of HQ 5 Sector celebrated Kargil Day to honour Capt Neikezhakuo Kenguruse, MVC (Posthumous) at his memorial at Pheza Village. The function was chaired by Brigadier R Ravi, Commander  5 Sector Assam Rifles  and attended by  Colonel Rupinder Singh, Officers and men of  Assam Rifles, Ngseue Kenguruse his father, family, friends, relatives, Chairman & GB’s of Nerhema and neighbouring village and school children of  Nerhema Middle School, Chiephobozu.
Maj Gen Sandeep Singh, AVSM, SM, VSM, IGAR(N), on this momentous occasion paid salute to the martyr for exceptional act of bravery and also conveyed his wishes to the family members  of Capt Neikezhakuo Kenguruse MVC (Posthumous). Wreath laying ceremony was conducted at his memorial at Pheza Village.  Paying tribute to the Kargil Hero, Brigadier R Ravi, Commander 5 Sector Assam Rifles highlighted the leadership qualities of this brave Officer of Indian Army.  He also added that Capt Kenguruse not only made Nagaland but the entire country proud.  
Also, in the same occasion, a “Bravery Award” was awarded to Kekhrozolu of PWD colony, Pfutsero for showing presence of mind by saving life of persons and averting a major fire incident at Pfutsero, PWD Colony on June 15,2011, the note said.
Ngseue Kenguruse (father), Atoulie Kenguruse(brother) of Capt Neikezhakuo Kenguruse and Ruuniju Kenguruse, head GB of Nerhema village  expressed their gratitude to IGAR(N) and Assam Rifles  for remembering their son, the note added.
