Karo Sambhav School Programme which is a workshop conducted to create awareness on hazards of e-waste culminated on Tuesday. The culmination cum felicitation programme was held at the premises of Nagaland Pollution Control Board, Dimapur.
During the programme, Member Secretary of Nagaland Pollution Control Board, Rusovil John gave away winning certificates to schools, teachers and students under various categories. Addressing the gathering, John lauded the Karo Sambhav for joining the initiative to create awareness towards a sustainable environment. He stressed on the need to create more awareness on the hazards of e-waste before it comes back to affect the environment negatively.
He was optimistic that the participating schools would continue to dessiminate the awareness in their own areas of influence to save the environment.
The programme was also attended by representatives of District Education Office, Dimapur, NGOs and others.
