Kohima, December 10 (MExN): The class 12 students of Khedi Baptist Higher Secondary School (KBHSS), Kohima Village undertook an educational tour to Delhi from November 25 to December 5. The main objective of the tour was to broaden the knowledge of the students and offer them a glimpse of the larger world, said a press release from Kedoroko Casavi, principal of the school.
17 students (10 boys and 7 girls) were part of the tour, which started on November 25 at Khedi Baptist Church with a prayer by the chaplain and associate pastor of the local church.
The team reached Delhi on November 27. On the first day, they visited Jama Masjid, Red Fort and India Gate. The second day consisted of visits to the Taj Mahal and Agra Fort in Agra, while on the third day the team visited Lotus Temple, Qutub Minar, and watched a 3D movie in the evening.
The fourth and fifth day were spent in markets like Sarojini Market, Nehru Place and Lajpat Nagar, the release informed. The team began their journey back home on December 3 and reached Kohima on December 5.
One of the most interesting highlights of the tour was watching the Indian Super League match between Delhi Dynamos and Northeast United at Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium on December 2, according to the press release.
The principal, who led the team assisted by student in charge Thejaser Dzüvichü, has thanked all the staff members, parents, and well wishers for their constant support and encouragement.
“I strongly believe that the students have benefited immensely from the tour, not only in creating memories of fun and friendship but also impressing upon their young minds of the vast knowledge and opportunities beyond,” he stated.
