KCP upset at Nagaland Govt.

DIMAPUR NOV 18 (MExN): The Kohima Press Club (KPC) has expressed disappointment at the State Government’s failure to organize an observance of  National Press Day in the State on November 16.

The KPC pointed out that the Government’s failure to organize and observe the occasion ‘is nothing but a blatant failure to recognize the role and existence of the media fraternity in the state.’ Nagaland could be the only State in the country which had failed to observe the National Press day, the club observed while regretting that the DIPR when contacted earlier told members of the media fraternity that it had not received any directive from the higher up.

It was earlier assured to inform the media fraternity as and when it receives the necessary directive, informed  KPC General Secretary, S Daiho Mao.

“Thus the media fraternity were kept waiting till the last moment” he added.
