Kohima | December 14
Kohima District Congress Committee (KDCC) today staged a public rally at Congress Bhavan here. Speaking at the rally, NPCC working president and Kohima district in-charge P Ayangba Aonok charged the DAN government for the pitiable road condition, non release of scholarship to students, non supply of medicines to patients, non-release of salary, and practice of backdoor appointment.
He also registered protest that the DAN government for the last 3 years was running the government without work programme. They have no political principle to take the people forward, he accused.
“NPF has no principles,” he reiterated, adding their principle was just for the sake of chair. “We should have a resolute mind to oust this (DAN) government,” Aonok asserted. He maintained that Rahul Gandhi will give effective leadership, saying the educated youth of the country are following him. Aonok added that INC’s main principle surrounds socialism, secularism and democracy.
Meanwhile, NPCC vice president Khriedi Theünuo said Congress will be reaching out to electorates with its policy and programmes, adding people will definitely support it. Charging the economy policy of the country under Prime Minister Narendra Modi, he said many people are not well aware of GST and paying the tax silently. He called upon the public to come forward and join Congress, assuring that the party will take corrective measure for common good on all fronts. He also charged the DAN government of failing to provide stable government, not delivering proper development, and total failure in running the state of affairs.
Former minister and Nagaland Pradesh Congress Committee (NPCC) treasurer Seyiekuolie in his address said that Congress will form the next government. “This time we need Congress government,” he affirmed.
Extending fullest support to Nagaland Baptist Church Council (NBCC) on Clean Election Campaign, KDCC president Kevi Vizo urged each and every individual to come forward and make it happen. He also appealed to NBCC to appropriately sensitize the church members to yield a realistic result.
Zacharia, PCC member from 11th Northern Angami–II A/C called upon the people to change their mindset and bring Congress to power in the next elections. He lambasted the DAN government as the most corrupt government. Ex-MLA Lanpha also spoke at the rally.
