Kiphire, March 8 (MExN): In line with Green Kiphire project which was launched last month, the Kiphire District Private Schools Society (KDPSS) today organized a mass social work to sensitize the students as well as the citizens for better and healthy environment. The social work was organized in Kiphire town with the theme “Healthy environment, healthy society.”
SDO(C) Kiphire, Lankonsen Tsanglao addressing the gathering before the social work asked the students to keep one’s surrounding clean so the environment we live in will be healthy for all. He also added that one should do away with items which cannot be reused and remade, but rather go for items which can be reused for healthy environment.
Lauding the private schools society for taking initiative such as cleanliness drive, the SDO(c) assured all possible support for the society and for the good of the students’ community. The SDO(c) also encouraged the students to maintain Kitchen garden in one’s backyard which not only produces vegetables but also helps consume healthy food. He further asked the students to plant trees.
