The Kohima district level science seminar-2019 on the topic ‘Periodic table of chemical elements: Impact on human welfare’ under the aegis of District Education Officer (DEO), Kohima took place here today at Christ King Higher Secondary School Kohima.
Kelhule Nagi, a class 10 student from Baptist Mission School, Jotsoma bagged the first position and will now represent Kohima district at the forthcoming state level science seminar scheduled for September 14 at Mokokchung.
Kepew John (Class 10) of Christ King Higher Secondary School Kohima and Asewe Letro (class 9) of Mezhür Higher Secondary School Kohima stood second and third position respectively.
Altogether, seven students from different schools in and around Kohima participated in the seminar.
Lithrongla Tongpi Rutsa, additional deputy commissioner Kohima graced the seminar as the special guest.
Y. Mary Zhimomi, DEO Kohima said that seminar is an annual event to motivate the students to learn science in efficient manner.
The judges for the seminar were Limatemjen, Assistant professor Kohima Science College Jotsoma and Daniel Thong from SCERT.
