Observing the need to foster mother language in the village, Kezoma Women Society (KWS) joined the International Women’s Day under the theme Uramia Die, Kezoma die (Kezoma mother language) today in the village panchayat hall.
Highlights of the day were women from other communities married into the village, competing in speaking in Kezoma language and folk song competition by khel representatives.

During the competition, the women deliberated on the importance of widely speaking ones mother tongue at home without communicating in other languages which otherwise have different spaces for conversing.
Women elder, Nodüle Yongo while exporting the gathering spoke about the exemplary role women play in the community. Women, in our society, she said, were the busiest persons in the society. She said, for women, wasting a day without doing anything or being idle even for an hour would be unimaginable.

Comparing women especially mothers as light of the homes She compared the role the role of women as the light of the house. “Without a women or mother, there is no light or vigour at home,” she said while adding that women are extraordinarily blessed to play these roles.
The elder pondered how women’s day had begun celebration around the world, and said that it is a day for women to give self love, dignity and respect to oneself.
Therefore, the elder asked the womenfolks to celebrate the day with utmost respect.
Without women, the social fabric was incomplete despite men also strengthening the role of women. She urged women to exemplify their God’s given being and become light of the home and society.
The elder also encouraged women to be bold and righteous.
