DIMAPUR, SEPTEMBER 18 (MExN): The School Management and Development Committee of Government High School (GHS) Khaghaboto Dimapur has given a 15-day deadline to the State Mission Director (RMSA), Kohima to clarify on matters pertaining to the construction of Khaghaboto GHS RMSA school building.
In an open letter addressed to the State Mission Director, GB Khaghaboto & SMDC member, Khuheto Zhimomi and Kakihe Yepthomi, Chairman, Village Council Khaghaboto & SMDC member, Amento Zhimo & Elika Aye, SMDC members informed that GHS Khaghaboto was upgraded under RMSA in 2011, however the new building is yet to be completed and the contractor has become untraceable.
In this connection, it sought clarification as to why the construction has been left unattended for such long period whereas other RMSA school building has been completed and inaugurated. It also wanted to know if the final bill for the construction has been released and if so, why it has been released without the consent of the concern SMDC.
Further, on the report that the engineering wing of RMSA had issued completion report to the State Mission Director, it wanted to know why the same has been cleared without spot verification.
The SMDC said the matter would be handed over to the area NGO for further pursuance from the competent authority if it is not settled within the specified period.
